Just wondering, what some suggestions are on the best insulation for a jacket.
I have been exploring the Internet, and “all” are the best.
I would like some personal suggestions of real life experiences.
I have checked out Thinsulate, Insultex Insulation…etc.

It’s still very subjective as you’ve pointed out but the bottom line is climashield and primaloft are both really good. I think the clo numbers are a little better on the primaloft but it does require to be stabilized more often which can effect warmth.

For me it’s the issue of drape and feel, I like primaloft better. If I’m going to take the time, and money to make it. It’s not just about the numbers. Climashield is a bit stiffer and better suited towards bags.
