I finally finished my minima vest! This is only my second apparel item I’ve made after a pair of liberty ridge pants. The vest turned out much better than the pants. I believe the main reason for this was my newly acquired cutting mat and rotary cutter. I highly recommend both these items.

Finished weight for the size medium using athletic cut pattern, momentum fabric, and 1.8 oz insulation came out to 4.95 ounces. I am 6’0 and 165 lbs with a 19 inch torso. The vest fits me very well, loose enough for a couple layers underneath and tight enough for another jacket or shell over it.

Only significant mistake I made was using white thread on the blue momentum fabric for my top stitching along the zipper and collar. My blue thread ran out before that step and I was too lazy to go the store. Oh well, it’s only cosmetic anyway and the rest of the jacket looks great!

Thanks for all your support AYCE! Looking forward to my next project.

- the vest is kind of crooked in the picture but fits perfectly straight when I’m wearing it, including the collar.

Looks good!  I don’t think my OCD would allow me to use white thread :gulp:
