Is there a trick to making a Lycra cuff binding which uses a French seam on the sleeve AND minimizes the bulk in the cuff seam?

I’ve experimented and made about two dozen mini-sleeve cuffs. Getting good at the Lycra cuffs but still haven’t found a way to incorporate a French seam and not get a huge lump in the cuff…

BTW, that would be a great topic for the Projects page, to accompany the “Installing Wrist Elastic” article…

You might try using the free-arm of your machine to add the lycra cuffs after the sleeve’s side seam has been sewn.

Yeah, I already thought of that but there isn’t enough room for the completed sleeve to fit on the free arm area. A pant leg would fit but not a sleeve.

But I have a few more ideas to try that I think will work. Of course, that’s exactly what I thought about the previous ideas… ;)
